Portrait of Aliou Wade

I'm Aliou. These days I'm at Everest Finance, looking after three fintech products in production. The team is small, so the work spreads across apps, data, integrations, and whatever breaks after hours.

I spent a few years before that at ERGOBIT in Odoo ERP work: payroll, HR, accounting, and migrations that took longer than anyone hoped. I also wrote the acceptance tests some clients ran when they upgraded to Odoo 18.

Other stretches have included full-stack web apps, mobile apps, CI pipelines, scheduled accounting reports, and once an Arduino that had to report to the cloud. The stack changes; the brief is usually someone walking me through a process held together by habit.

Lately I build and ship with the same AI tools everyone else is learning to use. Two of the products above also embed models—the Dakar Café Express agent handles catalogue and billing questions, and Zeffet uses a layer of AI to decide what's safe to clean up on a Mac.

Off the clock: competitive chess. I hover around 2043 bullet online.
